De-Centralized Loop

“De-Centralized Loop” is an artwork created for my last talk at the NFC conference in Lisbon, titled “The Web3 Renaissance is Yet to Come.” It was created to support my argument that the initial development of the crypto art space focused on decentralization, censorship resistance, privacy, inclusion, and self-sovereignty.

However, in recent months, this trend seems to be reversing. We are observing venture capital-led consolidations, the rise of opportunistic influencers, and a shift to private, centralized marketplaces and blockchains. In pursuit of trends and money, these values appear to be eroding.
