Bitcoin 2026 Las Vegas has wrapped up, and it was once again a conference worth the trip. I was pleased to showcase Do Not Accumulate, a new Ordinal project exploring the design, implications, and quiet coercions of Central Bank Digital Currencies. The work generated exactly the kind of dialogue I had hoped for, specific, informed, and occasionally uncomfortable.

Another moment that stays with me most is finally meeting the team behind Smashtoshi, the publishers of the History of Bitcoin. After a few years of back-and-forth at a distance, it was something else entirely to stand in the same room, hold the book in my hand, and see my contributed artwork, “Genesis Days,” printed and bound. Some things do not fully exist until you see them in person.
