Throwback RURart Residency

Amid the pandemic, this residency allowed me to spend time in nature with fellow artists and facilitators—leading to an unexpected epiphany: collaborating with clouds through rain.

I was stamping in a field for hours when large cumulonimbus clouds suddenly turned into rain. At first, I was stunned as the rain blurred the geometric features of my project. But I learned to embrace and appreciate it over time, later developing artworks explicitly designed to interact with rain and clouds.
