Celebrating 1 Year of Noctilucent Mementi Collection

Oct 20th, 2024

One year ago, my generative art series was released, I celebrate that milestone with special announcements for all artwork holders.

Today marks the first anniversary of my Noctilucent Mementi series, and it’s the perfect time to reflect on this meaningful project. A heartfelt thank you to my collectors — your support has been incredible. I’m still amazed that all 210 pieces sold out in just 24 hours, and I feel truly fortunate to have you with me on this journey. Below, I’ve shared some thoughts and updates for those who’ve been part of the series.

What are Noctilucent Mementi?

If you’re hearing about Noctilucent Mementi for the first time, it represents my five-year (2018–2023) journey through cloud art, encompassing 11 countries and many personal and artistic milestones. Each piece ties a specific location to a memory, connecting my development in the crypto art world with my travels.

The series reflects the ephemeral beauty of clouds and the enduring nature of blockchain, celebrating memories preserved across time and space, both digitally and physically. Learn more about the Noctilucent Mementi series.

The Significance of Time

Time and numerology play a key role in both my process and this series. In Noctilucent Mementi, these elements helped me explore the past few years of my life and work. As we pass this one-year milestone, I want to extend a special thank you to all the collectors who’ve remained engaged with the series. You are the core of what makes this project so meaningful, especially those who’ve stuck with me through what I like to call the “flipper clipper.”

An Eye on the Series

The collage featured at the top of this post—an eye created from the Noctilucent Mementi artworks—symbolizes how closely I’ve been following the series and its collectors. As my first 1-of-1 generative release, Noctilucent Mementi holds a special place in my practice. Collectors who meet these two conditions:

  • Holding one Noctilucent Memento for at least 210 days
  • Not bypassing the 5% artist royalty when selling

… can claim an edition of my Known, Uncertain, Unknown: My Past, Present, and FUTURE collage, which includes artworks exhibited at Art Dubai earlier this year. This collage continues the visual exploration of my journey, much like the Noctilucent Mementi series itself.

Note: Collectors have 21 days (until November 10th, midnight EST) to claim the collage, which will be dropped into the wallet that holds your Memento.

    Looking Ahead

Noctilucent Mementi is an evolving series. While I can’t share too many details just yet, I’m continuing to work on the code and further developments, and I’m excited about where this project will go next.

Alongside this evolution, I’m creating a dedicated collection page for the series on my website. My artwork catalogue will soon include all 210 Mementi, and a blog post on the 2019 references within the series is in the works.
