Alongside Inner Voice, DANAE has published an interview with me on Medium, in English and French, under a question I rather like: can clouds teach us about impermanence?
We cover a lot of ground. Why clouds have been my subject and medium for nearly a decade as a metaphor for the blockchain’s constant evolution, permissionless border-crossing, and often-neglected fragility. How a life of near-constant movement, with the sky as the only fixed point, shaped both the practice and my questions about the structures others take for granted. The making of the triptych Known, Uncertain, Unknown and the three resin cloud sculptures derived from it for the exhibition. And the work occupying me now: raising awareness of Central Bank Digital Currencies through Do Not Accumulate, which I am preparing to exhibit in Montreal early next year.
My thanks to the DANAE team for the thoughtful questions and for the care in preparing a bilingual edition. The full conversation is on Medium.
